Happy Valentines day. It’s been nearly a year since the 2 trucks, engine, transmission, and seats were delivered. Had a few slow ups regarding the cockpit. Due to the engine/transmission choice along with seat choice we had to move the drivers cock pit to the left nearly a foot. This caused some complications with steering, shifting linkages, clutch, brake, and throttle pedals. Digging in we were able to find a new shift tower that was used on the old eaton 10/13 speeds in the cab over’s which can be used as a left side or right side connection, along with grabbing the linkage assembly from a CL-9000. Use of an offset steering box should also resolve our steering issues. Hopefully with those issues behind us we can start finishing the cab. The bed design work is complete with a bill of materials nearly ready as we look at trimming weight and ensuring nothing was missed.
